Andalusia also established its own anthem \u2013 The Green and White Flag \u2013 and the notorious green and white flag that is seen flying all over the region and Sevilla was appointed the capital city of Andalusia.<\/p><p>Andalusia is the birthplace of tapas, the Mediterranean food that Spain has become so famous for.<br \/>In the 19th century, Alfonso XIII was travelling through the region when he stopped off at a bar in Cadiz.<br \/>He received a glass of wine with a slice of ham on top, the King was told was used as a cover to keep the flies and dust from going into his drink.<br \/>The King was so impressed that he passed a decree that all bars should tapas from that day on.<\/p><p>Andalusia is also famous for it&#8217;s Sherry, the wine is made from white grapes grown in the Jerez region in the province of Cadiz.
